I met Emily Rose at the Articulture artists’ cooperative, where I was working as a figure model. Immediately, I was struck by her expressive drawing style and her outgoing nature. A painting on canvas done many years ago of me in a northwoods setting has been in a box for many years, never displayed. Recently during some home redecorating Emily saw the painting which we were about to put in a generic Walmart frame. She suggested that she had a great idea for a frame that would help highlight it. I trust her artistic style and creativity and off she went with painting in hand. It was returned a few days later with a frame style I never would have thought about. The painting is framed with tree branches in the most natural way, with the corners bound together with dyed cording which matches some of the colors in the painting and provides a delightful contrast to the branches it is holding together. The frame is tightly done and is the perfect accompaniment to the painting. After all those years in a box it now graces our living room wall. Emily is very talented with a great creative eye and we appreciate her work.
