Secondhand Hounds

Being present in the community as an artist is important to me. As such I have started by donating my time and skills to an organization called “Secondhand Hounds” they are a non-profit group based out of Minneapolis, MN that helps rescued dogs find new homes.

I have lived it first hand and know the difficulty and the care and nurturing it takes to being a rescuer, and I want to help others who do the same thing that I have been drawn to do on many occasions. Therefore, I plan to donate a percent of my personal profits of everything I sell in this store to help them with the cause. Please feel free to visit their website and see what they are doing in the community to help rescue hounds. http://secondhandhounds.org/ Thank you!

My Story: The reason I feel so strongly to be involved in such an organization is that I have pets that I have rescued myself. My dog Molly is a Mutt, she has Dotson in her but because she is a rescue I am not sure what else. When I was living in Louisiana with my Ex I found her by the Red River when we went to go see one of the damns. She was starved with her ribs sticking out and flea and tick ridden. She was so scared to come to me at first that it took me a good 15 minutes lying on my belly with a cup of water to earn her trust. Once I was able to pick her up she immediately licked my neck and fell asleep in my arms and I fell in love! I named her Molly because of her brown eyes, it made me think of “Brown eyed Molly” and when I called her with her new name she licked me again and it was set in stone!

Help rescue dogs when you purchase anything from this website, we donate a percent of every sale to the organization Secondhand Hounds.

Please visit our store to see whats for sale!
